Prada opens café in London's Harrods

Fashion brand Prada has opened a pop-up café in London's Harrods department store: Prada Caffé. Trip to London on the planning? At this slice of Milan in London, you'll breakfast, lunch and drink Prada's signature cocktails in style.
Prada

Prada Caffé opened its doors at the luxury department store on Brompton Road in London's Knightsbridge district on March 31, 2023 and will be open for visits until the end of 2023. The pop-up café was inspired by Prada's first boutique in Milan, in the famed indoor shopping street Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.

The sophisticated interior is stained with Prada's mint green hue, combined with black and white checkered floors that reflect the label's signature monochromatic designs. Breakfast, lunch and signature cocktails can be enjoyed in the pale green velvet chairs at sleek black tables under striking lamps swaying from the ceiling.

Buon appetito!

The menu features dishes with a modern take on Italian cuisine. For breakfast, the café serves Italian coffee and a doughy treat known as faggotini, filled with sticky dark chocolate, pistachio cream and raspberry jam. Dishes like yogurt and granola, Florentine eggs and caviar are offered from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The lunch menu offers appetizers and main courses ranging from burrata and zucchini to ricotta cannelloni with black truffle.

No time to waste? Then you can pick up food like Italian finger sandwiches and mini pizzas here to continue your shopping session afterwards. Delicious cakes and pastries are also on the menu here. Think hazelnut cake, tiramisu and all kinds of sponge cake. In the mood for alcohol? In addition to coffee, the Prada Caffé pours wines from Piedmont to Sicily, as well as signature cocktails with quirky names like Tuscan Blossom, Mediterraneo, Italian Fizz, and Bitter in Love.

This is not Prada's first culinary foray, by the way. For example, the brand acquired a legendary Milanese patisserie in 2014 and opened the West Anderson-designed Bar Luce in the Milan in 2015.
