Five tips to make your Easter weekend extra fun

The Easter weekend is just around the corner and temperatures are looking good. High time to go out. With these five tips your Easter will be extra fun.Text: Patrick Stoffer

Visit an Easter market

Easter markets are organized throughout the country, where you can spend a great day wandering around among the antiques, clothing, art and food trucks. The Hague, for example, is hosting a large Easter market that lasts no less than four days. Is The Hague not quite your thing? Not to worry. Many cities organize an Easter market. A handy overview can be found here.

Go to a concert

Still prefer to stimulate your other senses? Then you can also visit a concert. Dress up and go to the Concertgebouw or another concert being held in your area. There will be musical performances in almost every city. You can also attend a concert from your living room. Traditionally, The Passion takes place during Easter and the biblical story is given a modern twist. Handy for when you don't want to go out the door.

Visit a festival

If you want a slightly more active Easter you can get your feet off the floor at a festival. The perfect festival weather is in the stars, so let's go. Show off your dancing skills at the DGTL Festival in Amsterdam or at the Awakenings Easter Festival in Spaarnwoude. A complete list of upcoming festival weekends can be found here.

Organize an Easter brunch

At least as much fun as the other activities is hosting an Easter brunch. Glass of bubbly, good food, good company and you have a good time.

Take a walk

If you are a bit more of the quiet type, you can of course take a nice walk in the beautiful nature that the Netherlands has. Put on walking shoes and go, such as to the dunes in Noordwijk or the Utrechtse Heuvelrug.
