MONACO YACHT SHOW IN A NEW LOOK

The Monaco Yacht Show returns this year in a new format. This year, the event is celebrating its 30th anniversary on a more intimate and small scale than previous years. According to organizer The Informa Group, the four-day yacht show has adopted a new COVID-19 approach designed to enhance both visitor and exhibitor experiences. Text: Fleur de Jong

Organizers have done their best to make the docks less crowded while offering better access with three new visitor designations. For example, you have the 'Discover' badge, which is reserved for clients. Advisors and consultants for these clients wear the 'Advise' badge. The visitors who want to meet peers wear the 'Connect' badge. The hope is that the new badge system will improve visitor flow on the wharves, making it easier for visitors to board yachts. There will also be two entrances for the special VIP visit program, the Sapphire Experience, and the organization is using a new method of registering visitors' identities before the show to counteract large crowds around the entrance.

An enchanting lifestyle experience

Communications manager Johan Pizzardini says the organization has been working closely with the yacht industry for months to best understand the expectations of yacht owners as well as new customers. According to him, superyachts are part of a way of life, so the Monaco Yacht show should be too. It should not be a boat show, but an enchanting lifestyle experience of the world of superyachts.

The four-day show is scheduled from Sept. 22 to 25. Organizers will protect participants to provide them with the safest and most serene experience possible.
