We know fashion designer Ilja Visser all too well for her signature couture collections. After a tumultuous time, during which she ran into financial difficulties, she is now making her comeback with her first commercial line Suits & Softs by ILJA. A comfy but stylish collection. For Ilja, this is a fresh start, Ilja 2.0. She says that building and marketing a brand in 2021 will look very different than before. For example, she has chosen to market the brand completely direct-to-consumer and sell only online. Ok Ilja wants to collaborate with influencers and artists. Of course, her new responsible collection is sustainable by only using leftover fabrics. Leftover fabrics are very often destroyed, a shame! Ilja buys those fabrics and she makes her collections from them. Precisely in the context of sustainability, they only work on a pre-order basis.
Ilja worked on her new collection for two and a half years. She wanted to incorporate casual comfiness with chic into her collection. She dedicates this collection to women. "Like many women, I wanted to do it all right - work, family, love, girlfriends, sports, everything. Then the last thing you want is to also break your head about your outfit in the morning. With this collection I want to empower women and offer the comfort of a look that is always appropriate." says Ilja. The collection includes two-piece suits. You can also wear just the jacket or pants and combine with another piece of clothing. It is a combination of suits and casual wear.
