MEXPO 2021 golf tournament: MASTERS really gets a hole in this!

Last weekend, on October 9 and 10, 2021, MASTERS ' spectacular MEXPO golf tournament took place at The Duke Club in Nistelrode. The weekend was all about golf, of course, but also about meeting each other, networking, enthusiasm, fun and delicious food and drinks. MEXPO golf tournament

The exclusive members-only The Duke Club was all about MASTERS MEXPO golf tournament last weekend. The morning sun appeared and the first guests trickled into the clubhouse of golf hall The Duke Club. The fanatical crowd on Saturday consisted of relations, BN'ers and friends of the house. On Sunday, the honor fell to the members of The Duke Club. Upon entering, the players were delighted to meet, network, exchange tips on golf and enjoy breakfast at the same time. During Yves' welcome speech, the players' enthusiasm was clearly felt and everyone was encouraged to share their golf skills with the motley crew, because of course only one can be the best. Of course, in addition to eternal glory, the impressive prizes were enough reason to go all out to be declared the best golfer(s).

Let the games begin...

After Yves' welcome speech, the avid golfers set off for the holes with a good dose of energy to show what they have to offer. Of course, the day is also about fun and networking. And that was done! All while enjoying beautiful weather with bright sunshine. The various holes at The Duke Club were the scene of the weekend and there was a lot of talking, laughing and, of course, serious golf.

While playing, golfers were able to enjoy a spectacular performance by illusionist Victor Mids at Scotch Whisky Investments, a cup of coffee or tea from De Eenhoorn, salmon from The Big Green Egg, wines from Vinites and an outing on the water with a Schiller pedal boat was certainly not to be missed.

All golfers who participated in MEXPO could hit a nice ball, but beating a real pro is a different story. Golf pro Robert-Jan Derksen dared and challenged every player to compete against him in the game Beat The Pro: a battle for honor and a year's subscription to The Captain's Line. Who wouldn't want that? As many as nine golfers managed to call themselves Captain after this day and beat Derksen.

The final battle

At 5 p.m. the climax was there: a blood-curdling final battle between the best golfers of the day. It was not played for nothing and the winner could win a beautiful watch from GASSAN, and of course eternal fame. After an exciting battle under the watchful eye of all the players, the winner, Frank Pulles, finally received the GASSAN watch. After raising a glass together, it was time for everyone to get ready for dinner, where MEXPO's best flight was announced.

And the winner is.

During dinner, guests enjoyed a three-course menu consisting of a sea bass ceviche with King crab and caviar, as a main course grainfed tenderloin with fois gras curls, corn textures with red wine sauce and for dessert a pumpkin-butterscotch whiskey. Excitement rose as Yves announced the winners. After the company went wild to Snollebollekes taking the poodle prize and the winner of The Longest Drive took delivery of a real Big Green Egg, the winners were announced. Accompanied by the song 'We Are The Champions' by Queen, the best flight of MEXPO 2021, represented by Edwin van der Sar, David Bijlsma and Erik Pieterse, each proudly accepted a bottle of champagne, an overnight stay at Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin, a Suittruck jacket and, of course, the coveted MEXPO trophy. Afterwards, while enjoying drinks and music, they looked back on a fantastic and fanatical day that will not soon be forgotten. See you next year!
