In the ten-year history of this prestigious fair in Asia, every year an international jury panel makes the selection of nominees from a large number of entries from all over the world. In the 'complete bike' category, the SCULTURA impressed the jury and was awarded the 'GOLD award for most exceptional design and innovation'.The new MERIDA SCULTURA TEAM has retained its familiar lightweight racing DNA but has made huge improvements in terms of aerodynamics. Wind tunnel tests showed that the new frameset has significantly less wind resistance: in terms of wattage, it saves 4.3 watts at a speed of 45 km/h. In addition, comfort has been further improved with a 38% reduction in vertical stiffness from the bottom bracket to the saddle. Space for tires up to 30mm wide and the extension of the seat post by 40mm additionally boost endurance and comfort.

After an extremely successful launch of the new SCULTURA TEAM in mid-2021, this award highlights the outstanding reputation of this bike. In addition to rave reviews and tests by various media and avid cyclists around the world, the already achieved victories in UCI World Tour races also speak for themselves. Also in 2022, Team Bahrain Victorious already achieved several victories on the renewed MERIDA SCULTURA, including by "our" own Wout Poels.
