MAJESTIC HOTEL SUITES BENELUX

In addition to Standard, Junior and Deluxe, many hotels have an outer category, their showpiece. How exclusive do you want it: A suite spread over two floors? With a private cinema, plenty of velvet, golden taps and a jacuzzi with underwater lighting? These are the largest, most majestic and most beautiful hotel suites in the Benelux. All larger than 250 square meters. Text: Ivo Weyel

Hotel Okura, Amsterdam, Netherlands

The Imperial Suite is the largest suite in the Benelux, 485 square meters, spread over two floors, the 17th and the 18th, so with wide views of Amsterdam and far beyond. It has several bedrooms, freestanding bathtubs with waterfall taps, fitness equipment, a private cinema for twelve people and you can go upstairs completely anonymously as an individual (are you always bothered by paparazzi?). The experience is of the highest degree, so even if you are head of state it is safe to be there.

Le Plaza, Brussels, Belgium

The names of the most expensive suites are never very special, they vary from Presidential to Royal to Imperial. This one is called Presidential, is a whopper of 340 square meters and is classically furnished. There is of course concierge (read: butler) service and – how funny those Belgians are – the suite (as the hotel proudly states) has a desk, a hairdryer and, yes!, there is a free bottle upon arrival. water and some fruit ready. Of course, this is standard for all rooms and there are many unmentioned (secret) extras that come with this suite. Such as check-in and check-out times whenever you wish.

Warwick, Brussels, Belgium

The Penthouse Grand Palace, the name is as majestic as the suite: 250 square meters (sitting room, dressing room, dining room, desk and bar) with private elevator and private butler plus a mega-large terrace (see photo) with all-round views over the center of Brussels and of course the Grand Place. Including terrace, you end up with a large 400 square meters. The furnishings are just as grand as the dimensions and the bathroom, 'with a touch of marble', almost has luminous gold mosaics on the walls.
