Live gin art at MASTERS EXPO

A work of art from gin

Especially for MASTERS EXPO, David van Linschoten and his associates developed a Van Linschoten Slagers Gin limited edition box. At MASTERS EXPO, a wall is constructed of 250 boxes, which is like one big work of art that is being painted as we speak by AAAFresh123. Each limited edition gin box is a unique piece of a great work of art, with of course a beautiful content. When purchasing a gin box, the buyer will also receive a signed and numbered copy, printed on linen paper, of the painting that AAAfresh123 painted on Oct. 1, 2018. This is in honor of the butcher shop's 110th anniversary, where butcher's gin was launched on the same evening.

Fourth generation family business

Jan Huygen in the barrel. Who does not know the children's song? The lyrics are about the Enkhuizer seafarer Jan Huygen van Linschoten (1563-1611). Exactly, family of... On October 1, 1908, the Van Linschoten butcher's shop was established, which is now a household name in 010 and far beyond. Exactly 110 years later, on October 1, 2018, the fourth generation of the family business, David van Linschoten, adds Van Linschoten Slagers Gin to the empire.

When the butcher shop celebrated its 110th anniversary in 2018, the family had a gin distilled from their own steak seasoning at Distillery Onder de Boompjes called Van Linschoten Slagers Gin. Together with his brother Hubert van Linschoten and a mutual friend, the Rotterdam-based kingdom of gin has since become a great success.
