MASTERS Member of the week: Martin Verheijden

In 1991, Martin Verheijden founded Personal Care Concepts. He is the producer of skin and hair care products. PCC develops and produces cosmetic products for several major brands. He is also the owner of DutchDisinfection.Text: Larissa Schaule Jullens

The PCC process

"Personal Care concepts specializes in developing and producing skin and hair care products. Some customers have a totally elaborated wish, others a beginning of a concept. We guide you every step of the way. This is possible because we have everything under one roof. For concept development, you sit around the table with our account managers, our brand builder and graphic designer. Our in-house laboratory converts every wish into a recipe and sample that the customer can judge for himself. The blending plant has various sized kettles for small and very large productions. Several filling lines for tubes, jars, packaging, etc. run at multiple locations. Everything finds its way through the warehouse directly to the customer or on demand. So we can support a customer at every stage. From idea to final product."

Something new

"Actually, I have two pieces of news. We are growing explosively. Right now we have three plants in Heerhugowaard. We are in the advanced stages of building a new factory in Alkmaar next year. A factory that meets all the requirements for the future. We also work according to the strict requirements of ISOGMP and always disinfect everything already. The disinfection dispensers available in the market are barely satisfactory, they are fairly simple devices. Therefore, in March - when corona started - we started working with KPN to develop our own disinfection dispenser that meets all the requirements of today's society. An intelligent, rock-solid device that can always be monitored through a connection to the Internet via an online dashboard. How much is left in it, how many people are using it, when should I refill, when should I order new stock. This week we are bringing this device to market."

MASTERS League

"I became a member two years ago and I also visited the fair more often. Brands of ours were also at the fair so that's how we came into contact with it. We got to know people and then we ended up at Noon on the Amstel. That was great. We had met many different people and then we decided to become members as well."
