She is 55 years young, has had her own reputable law firm in Amsterdam South for exactly 17 years and specializes in Personal and Family Law and Mortgage and Foreclosure Law. "Before I started my own firm, I worked for eight years as a tax and financial assistant at an office. I had studied Dutch Law and wanted to move beyond tax law to civil law. An opportunity presented itself to establish myself as a lawyer from scratch, with my own firm," Conchita said.
Conchita is different from your average lawyer. Stuffy? No. Stylish? Absolutely. Passionate? Definitely. Whereas a few years ago it was not-done for most lawyers to profile themselves on social media, Conchita drew a lot of attention with her sexy-business snapshots. "As one of the first lawyers, I actually did profile myself on social media. Why did I do this? I wanted to show myself as a sexy, glamorous and intellectual woman. It was a conscious choice, and it worked. I reached the 24,000 followers mark on Instagram, and gradually I started to establish myself more and more as a brand. I have done many interviews, write columns (including in Mokum Magazine) and appear weekly on television (including in Life is Beautiful), and in 2015 I was named one of the most influential Blawgers of the year by Het Advocatenblad. Now you see more and more lawyers doing this."
This power woman's life exudes success, strength and happiness. "I feel commended with my office, the good people around me and that things are going well. I get happy with my work, the paintings in my office and nice clients. I also get happy from the other branch I have besides my work, which is my membership in Complaints Committee Bureau Youth Care, as a member of the complaints committee. I try to enter life as happily as possible and I consider myself blessed with what I have."
