Looking for a nice place to live? For a considerable capital there is a nice property for sale in London. For the astronomical amount you can call yourself owner of the most expensive house in the United Kingdom, you have 40 rooms and you get beautiful views.

Located on four acres of private land in Regent Park, the residence, called The Holme, is currently for sale for €281.2 million. If sold for this price, it would be the most lucrative real estate deal in London's history. But at the same time, the asking price also beats that of the penthouse in New York.

The Holme was designed by prominent nineteenth-century architect Decimus Burton in 1818. A relative of the architect lived on the sprawling estate for a long time. The two-story estate has an impressive 29,000 square feet of living space, eight garages, a tennis court, a library ánd a sauna. The view isn't bad either; The Holme sits on Regent's Park, one of eight royal parks in the city. The estate is expected to attract buyers from abroad. Indeed, the housing market is attracting an increasing number of international buyers, with as much as 48 percent of real estate in the city being purchased by foreign buyers last year.

According to sources, the first viewers have already been in. Reportedly, real estate entrepreneur Nick Candy and his wife reportedly viewed the cottage last month. Currently, The Holme is still owned by Saudi Prince Khalid bin Sultan al Saudi.
