Colorful, raw & vibrant: 'Le Voyage Dans La Lune'

Art lovers beware! A brand new exhibition is on display at art'otel Amsterdam. The exhibition is inspired by the very first sci-fi film 'Le Voyage Dans La Lune' from 1902. Amsterdam Street Art (ASA) curated the artworks and brought the extraordinary story to life. The colorful, raw and vibrant art exhibition can be admired daily until July 29 at art'otel Gallery: the exhibition space of one of the most artsy hotels in the Netherlands.Text: Mical Joseph

Le Voyage Dans La Lune

The exhibition is inspired by the first ever short science fiction film, Le Voyage Dans La Lune. The story is about a group of men who prepare a spaceship to travel to the moon. The exhibition reflects the togetherness and fun the men experience during their mission. This exhibition presents the raw and extraordinary story told by eight atronomers. The moon is both beautiful and mysterious. In addition to colorful elements, the exhibition contains dark, industrial accents and raw elements. The exhibition includes some highly recognized artworks by Dutch female and male artists, such as ZEDZ and YorkOne, which have previously been shown at events such as Burning Man, Wasteland and the Brussels Urban Art Fair.

Art is a walk eh, way of living

In addition to the art exhibition, every Saturday art'otel Amsterdam and Amsterdam Street Art organize a Street Art Walking Tour for guests of the hotel led by an art expert. Thanks to an art walk through the neighborhood, visitors to the city will discover works of art by well-known artists and secret, photogenic gardens, alleys and stores. The art'otel features the delicious restaurant and bar ARCA where you can also dine after the walk!
