This is the best place to play a game of golf

With PAR69, Robine Lempers has managed to give the golf wardrobe of many female golfers a significant upgrade. Where should you go this year to get that hole-in-one? The founder shares with MASTERS a number of top locations where it is good to relax on the green.

At PAR69 stylish fashion and passion for golf come together. Says founder Robine Lempers: 'As a dedicated fashion designer, I wanted to stand out on the golf course, but unfortunately the existing golf brands could not offer my style. That's why I decided to found PAR69 seven years ago. Today a thriving company with partner Marielouise and two team members in the office.' The brand can be found on golf courses in no fewer than eleven countries within Europe, Canada, Curaçao, South Africa, and now also in America. But the brand is also well represented in the Netherlands: 'In the Netherlands we take up the challenge with 32 passionate women in our PAR69 competition at The International, Dutch Bernardus and The Duke.' In her own words, Robine's travels took her to the most breathtaking locations...

OldHead | Ireland

Robine: 'This golf course should not be missing from your bucket list. Set in 90 acres, surrounded by rugged cliffs, Old Head is a golfer's paradise. With five Par 5s, five Par 3s and eight Par 4s, the course is suitable for golfers of all levels. The nine holes along the cliffs promise every tee breathtaking ocean views. And after a day on the greens, pamper yourself at the luxurious on-site spa, featuring a sauna and lavish steam room. You can also choose from various wonderful treatments. Golfing at Old Head is not just a sport, but a complete experience…'

Emirates Golf Club | UAE

Robine: 'At the Emirates Golf Club you can choose from three golf courses, but the Majlis court absolutely steals the show. This challenging par 72 course extends over seven kilometers. The original 18-hole design is the masterpiece of American course architect Karl Litten. Not only a playground for top golfers, but also a home for hundreds of native plant and animal species. Add to that the winding fairways and seven lakes, both fresh and saltwater, and you have a golfing experience that is truly unique. The clubhouse is also a striking point, since 1988, and serves as an important landmark in the vibrant city.'

Fancourt | South Africa

Robine: 'The Fancourt Hotel & Country Club in South Africa is located in breathtakingly beautiful, tranquil surroundings and yet it is not far from all the gems along the Garden Route. With three 18-hole courses from Gary Player, this golf resort fully lives up to its reputation. At the club you will find several cozy bars and excellent restaurants. And if that's not enough, an outdoor swimming pool with jacuzzi and a spa & wellness with steam bath await you. The Links golf course is the newest addition to the resort and has already hosted several international tournaments, including the very first edition of the Women's World Cup in 2005. A challenging course, but an absolute must for golfers with a lower handicap.'

Royal Golf Marrakech | Morocco

Robine: 'Royal Golf Marrakech, the second oldest golf course in Morocco and a favorite of the late King Hassan II, has a unique character thanks to exceptional vegetation with more than 15.000 trees. Designed by Gustave Golias and Arnaud Massy, the club opened its doors to the first players in 1927. With 27 holes, this course offers a playful challenge. Even names like Winston Churchill and President Ike Eisenhower have reportedly shown their golf skills here. In addition, Royal Golf Marrakech has previously been named "Best Clubhouse in its Category" by the prestigious Golf Inc Magazine.

Pezula Golf Club | South Africa

Robine: 'The Pezula Championship Course, located on the Garden Route in the picturesque town of Knysna, is also an absolute must on your golf bucket list. With 18 beautiful holes and views of the ocean and lagoon, a round of Pezula is not only a sporting treat, but also a visual treat. The clubhouse spoils guests with various amenities, including a spacious terrace overlooking the golf course, a cozy restaurant and bar, a boutique and comfortable changing rooms with showers.'
