Well-known fashion designer opens hotel

The hotel was named after - how could it be otherwise - the distinctive color of Louboutin soles. Vermelho namely means red in Portuguese. Located in the small village of Melides, the hotel was initially discovered by Louboutin by accident. The designer has a nomadic lifestyle and came across the property during a trip through the region in the late 1980s. He enlisted old friend and architect Madalena Caiado to transform the property into a true Palácio.

Vermelho's interior combines wooden floors with custom-made mosaics and murals. The boutique hotel has only 13 rooms spread over three floors. You don't have to expect the same wallpaper at your neighbors, however: each room is unique.

Honoring Egypt

With alabaster walls and caramel tones, the wellness area is a tribute to Egypt. Here, guests can enjoy an array of treatments to fully unwind.

Please mark April 1 in your calendar, as the fashionable hotel will open its doors to guests on this date.
