Because the streaming service works with a certain algorithm, as a viewer you only see series and movies that resemble previous pictures. Because of this, the variety is not really your cup of tea and you actually get bored very quickly. Netflix puts all its content into different categories and because of the aforementioned algorithm, you no longer see these sections. It takes some searching in Netflix's caverns but then you have something: the categories each have their own unique code, which you can enter yourself. These codes must be searched in a browser, however, you can of course continue watching on the television afterwards.

Et voilà

In your browser, go to https://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/. There are very many categories, so MASTERS highlights some of them for you. Do you like horror? Then search suspense horror on 42023 and on 6998 for satanic movies. Prefer something cozy? Comedy: find rom-coms at 5475 and foreign comedies at 4426. A good documentary more your thing? Then look for example for political documentaries on 7018, sports documentaries on 180 and crime documentaries on 9875. Do you prefer homegrown films? The code 10606 will take you to Dutch films.
