In 1964, Aston Martin made its debut as the James Bond car in the film Goldfinger. Thanks in part to 007, Aston Martin is a very popular car brand. The original Bond car is the DB5, but the DB4 and DB6 differ very little optically. However: all three are classics, so a bit old-fashioned. Things like ride comfort, emissions, brakes and handling could use quite an update. Lunaz Group, based in Silverstone, "the Home of British Motor Racing," goes even further than a simple update: it equips classic Rolls-Royces, Jaguars, Bentleys and Aston Martins, among others, with a new electric powertrain. The restoration and modification process brings driving pleasure into the 21st century. It's not cheap, as the Electrified Aston Martin DB6 pictured costs at least a million before taxes.

For example, Rewilding Europe is committed to helping disappearing species by making space for true wild nature. But the list also includes an over-the-top hotel stay at Château Versailles. Après nous, le déluge? No, but even in the new world there may be room to enjoy and experience.
