A little Japan in Amsterdam

Those who come to enjoy the Taiko Summer Edition this summer, the summer concept of the Conservatory Brasserie and Taiko by Executive Chef Schilo van Coevorden, will have a sensational experience in every way. In addition to a selection of chef's choice and last year's most popular dishes, the interior is completely in harmony with modern Asian cuisine. Reason for Van Coevorden to enter into an intensive collaboration with the subtle high-end Japanese interior design brand Time & Style.Online Editor: Mical Joseph

The designers use this heritage when designing furniture, tableware and furnishings that fit contemporary living.

A takeover of Conservatory Brasserie

For this collaboration, Time & Style has 'taken over' the Conservatory Brasserie and decorated the glass library with a carefully selected collection of items from their flagship store. During this temporary exhibition, there is plenty for both the eye and the taste buds to experience; enjoy the Taiko Summer Edition menu while feasting your eyes on Time & Style's unique interior design. All items on display during Taiko Summer Edition are available for purchase.

An ode to the Far East, with its choice of flavors and textures is what guests can expect when visiting the Taiko Summer Edition. "The design of Time & Style can be described as modern with an obvious Japanese touch. This goes perfectly with everything we stand for with our concept Taiko and with the dishes we present," said Executive Chef Schilo van Coevorden. "I am looking forward to the new adventure we are going to have this summer, we are bringing the Far East to our capital city. I am proud that this world-class interior design collection is coming to the Conservatory Hotel."

A stylish, scrumptious summer

To celebrate the summer days, Taiko is pleased to invite guests to discover the Taiko Summer Edition, on the terrace and in the Conservatory Brasserie. Chef Schilo and his culinary team have created an explosive yet delicate summer menu. Using as building blocks both the international dishes from the menu of Taiko Dubai and Amsterdam and the successes of the Conservatorium Brasserie. Famous names include the Wagyu shoarma, Edamame hummus with a crispy miso pappadum and lamb kofte Gyoza with pickled raisins.

This summer, the Taiko sushi counter set-up is once again on hand, where the Taiko sushi chef prepares Watermelon Sashimi, Crispy King Prawn Dragon Roll and other favorite Taiko sushi classics. All dishes can be paired with Taiko Bar's matching wines, sake and summer cocktails.

Restaurant Taiko and the Bar remain closed for now, focus this summer will be on the mix of "the best of both worlds" served during the Taiko Summer Edition in the Brasserie and on the terrace of the Conservatory Hotel. Guests can enjoy the Taiko summer menu here until Oct. 1 while admiring the new Time & Style interior.
