Dutch Design Week returns

Dutch Design Week (DDW) returns this year from October 22 to 30. The famous design week is all about, as the name suggests, design, innovation and creative concepts by more than 2,600 designers. In which the design of the future and the future of design take center stage. When it all started...

Dutch Design Week originated in 1998, under the name Day of Design, with the goal of connecting entrepreneurs and designers. Due to the success of the event, the Day of Design became Design Week in 2002. In 2005, the name changed to how we know it today: Dutch Design Week. Where DDW started with 20 participants in 2002, in 2016 it was more than 400 events spread over 100 locations, with 2,500 designers participating. In 2018, the event attracted some 355,000 visitors from home and abroad.

Innovation

DDW distinguishes itself from other design events by focusing on designs for the future. Although every conceivable discipline and aspect of design is covered during the event, the emphasis is on experimentation, innovation and crossovers. DDW focuses particularly on the work and development of young talent. The 2022 theme will be announced in May!Dutch Design Week | DDW
