The best activities around ADE

From Wednesday, October 19 to Sunday, October 23, electronic music lovers can indulge themselves at one of the largest dance gatherings in the world: Amsterdam Dance Event. In addition to a packed program of parties over the next four days, there are also plenty of other activities. MASTERS highlights some of them.

1. Photo exhibition

GOD IS A DJ is the world's first digital photo exhibition to feature the work of photographer Rutger Geerling. Geerling has been a frequent photographer at the world's biggest festivals since the early 1990s. For almost thirty years he has captured shows, artists, audiences, fireworks, number one DJs of the world and the soul of the dance world on camera. The exhibition is presented by Samsung, so the photos will be on display on 80 digital screens from the brand.

The exhibition opens on the first day of ADE and will be on display at the Beurs van Berlage through November 13.

2. House Of Hope

Protestant Church Netherlands, Homebass, Dominicus Amsterdam and ADE join forces to bring to the public House of Hope present. An immersive club concept in a church. People who have experienced homelessness at first hand share their stories during the performance, accompanied by DJ and producer Mees Dierdorp. The artistic gathering will take place in the Dominicus Church in the heart of Amsterdam, because, according to the organization, clubs and churches have more in common than you might initially think. After all, for many people both places feel like home; places where they find meaning, connection and warmth.

House Of Hope will take place on Friday, Oct. 21, from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m.

World's first electronic Dance Music Museum 3.

The Our House Museum goes a step further during ADE. Here, for example, enjoy a 4D experience about the evolution of dance music. The trip down memory lane takes you through 40 years of iconic tracks, clubs, festivals and artists. During ADE, Our House Museum will be open twenty hours a day, hosting in-store DJ sessions, panels, book signings and club nights.

4. Running

Perhaps not the first thing you think of at ADE, but starting Oct. 13, there is a special running route set to music that takes you past the favorite spots of DJs Passion DEEZ and Mia Cecille. For example, join Cecille on a four-kilometer run past her nostalgic spots, such as club Claire and club Lovelee. Passion DEEZ takes experienced runners on a seven-kilometer route through the Jordaan, among other places. The route starts and ends at concept store OALLERY, where running brand ON is showcasing its latest running shoe, which lights up after sunset to stay in the ADE theme....

You can participate in the run through Oct. 23.

5. Conference

In addition to the well-stocked party agenda, there is also a whole program of interesting speakers from the industry. For example, interesting topics such as "artificial intelligence" will be addressed. For example, have you ever asked yourself what it would be like to have a conversation with an AI-generated version of yourself?
