David Bijlsma: "How wonderful it is to be able to write this column after another major trade fair has finally taken place in our field: Watches & Wonders 2022. It was a great experience to meet colleagues from home and abroad once again under one roof and be able to admire new models. Exchanging stories and experiences gives us a lot of energy again. Rolex was spectacular with a for them very first version of a watch with the crown at 9 o'clock. This is also called a "leftie," a watch for left-handers. Not that Rolex had that specifically in mind, they just thought this was a very nice thing to do in terms of design. And what about all the other beauty from Cartier Pasha and Cartier Le Must! Jaeger-LeCoultre's amazing Atmos clock in a new look is also stunning. Chanel's J12 has grown up again and TAG-Heuer has brought back the Sport/Elegance special edition watch made famous by Ayrton Senna. In short, there is an insane amount of news under the sun this summer. You are most welcome to GASSAN."

Rolex GMT-Master

The Rolex GMT-Master was designed for airborne adventures. It has since become the watch of choice for travelers, connecting people across different time zones. Rolex is now unveiling a new, surprising version of the Oyster Perpetual GMT Master II. On this watch, the crown and crown guard are located on the left side of the case. These changes required several technical modifications to the movement and the Superlative Chrono- meter certification for which the test protocol and some final tests had to be modified. The date window and Cyclope lens were moved to 9 o'clock.

Pasha de Cartier

The Pasha de Cartier collection was launched in 1985. In its search for unusual shapes, Cartier came up with the idea of "a square within a circle. In 2011, development of this line stopped, but now it is back in full force with the 41-mm Pasha de Cartier Grille. With, indeed, an eye-catching (removable) yellow gold grille over the dial.
