MASTERS STORIES

Catch by Simonis houses this gem with a view

Catch by Simonis has been a culinary hotspot at the Scheveningen harbour for years. Spread over three stylish floors, the restaurant welcomes hundreds of guests every day for long lunches, elegant dinners and summer evenings on the terrace. But if you look a little higher, you will discover another side of this vibrant place…
Catch by Simonis - penthouse

Catch by Simonis is part of a family business with deep roots in the Dutch fish world. What started as a modest eel smokehouse at the end of the 19th century, grew generation after generation into a name with multiple locations and a recognizable passion: top quality fish.

The same dedication is reflected in the restaurant. On the second floor, just above the bustle of the restaurant floor, is The Penthouse: an exclusive space that effortlessly combines luxury, tranquility and privacy. No clinking glasses or buzz from the dining room below, but a serene setting with a view of the Scheveningen harbour.

With taste and a view

Whether you are planning an intimate dinner, organizing an inspiring brainstorming session or celebrating a birthday in style – The Penthouse offers an excellent setting. Thanks to the adjacent roof terrace, you can enjoy not only a spectacular panorama, but also a sunset that will give your meeting that little bit of extra magic.

The space is fully equipped with comfort and functionality in mind. For example, there is a private cloakroom, a projector with projection screen and space for up to 75 guests. And of course you benefit from the culinary signature of Catch by Simonis. Expect refined dishes, fresh fish of top quality and a service that flawlessly senses what you and your guests need…
