High-flyer Bo Enthoven: 'Social media can be the foundation of your business'

Entrepreneurship is something 27-year-old Bo Enthoven was brought up on. After years of experience in her parents' businesses, she decided to spread her wings and the young entrepreneur can officially call herself co-owner of STYLERZ24. Bo's companion: her own mother Els Enthoven. Together they form a golden team and hope to take STYLERZ24 to the next level. Text: Fleur de Jong
Image: Stylerz24With STYLERZ24 Bo creates and sells artificial blossoms (trees), bouquets and decorations. All creations are made of natural materials and are custom made, making almost nothing impossible. From restaurants to bathrooms, you could encounter STYLERZ24's silk flower creations anywhere. With work experience in her parents' business, Bo learned the tricks of the entrepreneurial trade at a young age, but could the older generation still learn something from her? MASTERS went into conversation.

What is your personal USP?

"What sets me apart is that I am very creative, but also do and think of everything myself. So this means that I basically don't need anyone to execute everything. So I buy all the materials, answer requests, make quotes and invoices, make the planning, prepare the blossom tree, make them myself and also deliver them myself."

What can the older generation of entrepreneurs learn from you?

"What the older generation of entrepreneurs can learn from me is that social media can be the foundation of your business, nice pictures and a short text is selling now. Customer contact comes later in the process and not beforehand."

Who is your teacher or inspiration in the entrepreneurial field?

"My parents. I come from a real entrepreneurial family, for example, my father Stefan Enthoven has been running Expo Flora for over 17 years. Expo flora is a rental company for fairs and events and has been around for 36 years. This is where I gain a lot of my experience, I have also been working here for nine years now. Els Enthoven is my mother and has been running the company Stylerz24 for nine years, she is an entrepreneur very different from my father. As an entrepreneur I am really a combination of my father and mother. In the end you have to walk your own path and I certainly do!''

What is your motto or quote?

"If you want something really badly and go for it then it succeeds. When I was 14 years old I worked in a flower store next to my school and during my MAVO I went to do a floral training program for which you actually had to be 18. I got this degree at 16. When I was 20 years old, I figured out that I wanted more freedom with the Expo Flora company and went to do a driver's training and got this. I can tell you that these are really tough exams and especially very technical. But: if you want something really badly and go for it, it succeeds."

What is the biggest entrepreneurial risk you have taken so far?

"I have only officially been an entrepreneur since July 1, so really big risks I haven't taken yet as an entrepreneur."

Where will you be in 3 years?

"In three years, I will still be working with my mother and we will have taken STYLERZ24 to an even higher level in terms of quality and visibility."'Do you know or are you a successful, young entrepreneur who also deserves a spot in the spotlight?
