MEN'S LUNCH

A recurring phenomenon at MASTERS EXPO is the Men's Lunch, where a select group of gentlemen have the honour of networking over lunch. The guest list is a mix of well-known Dutchmen, established entrepreneurs and exhibitors and newcomers. And yes, men among men, that does give a special magic.

Toine van Peperstraten managed to lure out Eric Vanderhoeven of Omega that the next James Bond might not be a man. The premiere of the new Bond film, in which the newest acquisition from the collection plays a major role, will take place in the Netherlands on April 1, definitely no joke. Just like the Omega watch to be won during the 'cap on, cap off' sports quiz. The Omega limited edition Seamaster Olympic Dreams to be precise.

The lucky winner, Marcello Pacenti of BMS-Travellers, also turned out to have a special relationship with the brand. When he was 12, his father gave him an Omega watch. During the move to the Netherlands, the watch was lost and he didn't find his happiness anywhere on the internet and auctions, and didn't wear a watch until today. "After I became aware of the win I called my wife: 'I won the Omega watch', to which she reacted almost with disbelief. This is so special to me. I'm going to wear this with enormous pleasure," Marcello said.

Also, Marcello learned all about his brand new OMEGA watch at the GASSAN booth.

The afternoon was closed with a performance by Quido van der Graaf and a closing drink at Gassan, where also the Leading Ladies joined. Bastiaan van Schaik (stylist) attended the Men's Lunch for the first time and found it a very nice afternoon. "Both the company, with the right 'movers and shakers' of the Netherlands." In terms of networking and business, it also provided him with two warm leads. He calls the fair itself 'next level': even bigger and better. Luxury 2.0.

"Like every year at the Men's Lunch, it is a pleasant afternoon with good conversations, fine company and delicious food. Just cozy, an afternoon I love to be a part of," said Frits Sissing.

Bart Brands of Gold Republic also attended the Men's Lunch for the first time: "Men among themselves enjoying the ambiance and the spectacular fair that LXRY has organised." As an alloctrinated precious metals specialist, he confirms that gold has remained a topic of conversation for years, and that's both during the lunch and on the stand.

The Men's Lunch was well attended this year!
