Gunpowder

Baruti means gunpowder in Greek, and as the word suggests, the brand makes powerful and memorable perfumes that are widely praised by connoisseurs. What makes the young Dutch perfume brand so unique in the world of perfume is that founder Dr. Spyros Drosopoulos is also the perfumer himself; all the products the brand releases are developed in its own lab and also largely produced.

During the development process, the fascination with scent takes center stage. As Spyros describes it in his own words, "This is how my dreams smell, I create personal perfumes that speak directly to the wearer. Deceptive, playful and rooted in the unconscious: their purpose is to spark the imagination. Like kaleidoscopic explosions of beauty, the fragrances can blow you over."

Like a fish in the water

A former neuroscientist with a Ph.D. in sleep and memory consolidation, the process where our brains convert short-term memories into long-term memories, Spyros has always felt like a fish out of water in a laboratory environment and loves nothing more than experimenting with perfume raw materials.

Baruti often collaborates with others, having already created several fragrances for other well-known brands. The perfumes Baruti creates push the boundaries of what is possible and fashionable within perfumery. Together with the entire team, Spyros makes his mark in the perfume world.

Currently, the brand offers 9 extrait de parfums and 4 room sprays. But keep an eye on Baruti, as a few more creations will be added to the line this year and the perfumes will also be released in a lighter concentration as eau de parfum.

Ultimate personal fragrance

Should you be looking for a special gift or really want the ultimate personal fragrance, Baruti offers from €5000 euro a course of an average of six months in which you will work with perfumer Spyros Drosopoulos to develop your own personal perfume.
