Baruti stands for gunpowder in Greek and as the word suggests, the brand creates powerful and memorable perfumes that are widely praised by connoisseurs. What makes the young Dutch perfume brand so unique in the world of perfume is its founder Dr. Spyros Drosopoulos is also the perfumer himself; All products released by the brand are developed and largely produced in its own lab.
The fascination with scent is central during the development process. As Spyros describes it in his own words: “This is what my dreams smell like, I create personal perfumes that speak directly to the wearer. Deceptive, playful and rooted in the unconscious, their aim is to spark the imagination. Just like kaleidoscopic explosions of beauty, the scents can blow you away.”
As a former neuroscientist with a Ph.D. in sleep and memory consolidation, the process where our brain converting short-term memories into long-term memories, Spyros has always felt like a fish out of water in a laboratory environment and loves nothing more than experimenting with perfume raw materials.
Baruti often collaborates with others and has already created several fragrances for other well-known brands. The perfumes that Baruti creates push the boundaries of what is possible and fashionable within perfumery. Together with the entire team, Spyros makes its mark in the perfume world.
Currently the brand offers 9 extrait de perfumes in 4. room sprays On. But keep an eye on Baruti, because this year a few more creations will be added to the line and the perfumes will also be released in a lighter concentration as eau de parfum.
If you are looking for a special gift or if you really want the ultimate personal scent, Baruti offers a program from €5000 on average of six months in which you develop your own personal perfume together with perfumer Spyros Drosopoulos.
