Aptera presents Launch Edition

Aptera's goal? To develop the most efficient car in the world. In 2020, the company showed its concept to the general public. Early this year, the final specifications of the production model were revealed. MASTERS doesn't want to deprive you of this feat of sustainable innovation. 

American start-up Aptera Motors has been developing its three-wheeled solar car for several years. Although the company is currently working to secure financing for production it presented the "Launch Edition'' early this year. 

Aptera's Launch Edition comes with an integrated solar-powered charging system that allows most people to drive for weeks or even months without having to plug in to recharge. At least, if, like the start-up, you are located in sunny California. In locations with average sun exposure, drivers need to plug in about three times a year. 

Ultimate Roadtrip 

With its distinctive shape and extremely light body, the car consumes a quarter of the energy compared to electric and hybrid vehicles. The solar cells are integrated wherever possible. Not only on the roof, front and tailgate but even on the dashboard. As a result, driving range is not skimped on. The Launch Edition is said to have a range of about 643 kilometers. By the end of 2023, Aptera plans to begin production and then quickly scale up to an annual output of 10,000 vehicles per year.
