MASTERS STORIES

No weekend plans yet? Immerse yourself in avant-garde aesthetics at the Synergy Art Festival.

Fancy something special this weekend, but no plans yet? On Friday, July 25th, the Synergy Art Festival descends upon the lush Flevopark in Amsterdam-Oost. Think: cutting-edge art, mesmerizing performances, and electronic live acts that will heighten your senses. A cultural outing that feels like a mini-retreat for your imagination…

Forget the standard food truck-and-music festivals. Eand artistic statement. Raw and refined at the same time. Synergy Art Festival invites you into a world where art lives, breathes, and takes you by the hand. Curated by artist Bogomir Doringer, an eclectic program unfolds where you don't simply watch, but move along. Literally. You wander through installations, get entangled in performances, and dance beneath trees to live electronic sets. All in harmony with the nature of Flevopark.

On Saturday, July 26, that experience will take on an extra dimension when No Art joins the festival. MASTERS previously entered into discussions With initiator Ruud Boymans, who bridges different worlds with his vision of inclusive art experiences and his work with SONA. Art and club culture aren't pitted against each other here, but flow effortlessly together. The result? An open, inclusive atmosphere where curiosity reigns supreme. From local residents to art lovers, and from techno fans to skeptics, everyone is welcome to experience, discover, and connect.

What you shouldn't miss?

Colourscape
A mesmerizing inflatable color maze, originally designed by British artist Peter Jones in the 1970s. This visual installation invites visitors on an almost meditative journey of discovery, enhanced by a live performance by Amanda Payne and singer Nadia Bakhshi.

Aerosculpture
A poetic, floating ladder by Jean-Pierre David that seems to touch the sky. The fragile sculpture blurs the lines between nature, technology, and imagination.

Young Boy Dancing Group
An international performance collective known for their raw, physical work. In Synergy, they transform the park into an open stage where dance, body, and landscape merge.

Live the party
The iconic Belgian electro-kitsch-pop band delivers an energetic live show with a stylish '80s flair and glam attitude. Think a mix of chanson, synth, and showmanship – irresistibly theatrical and musically groundbreaking.

The Subs
Belgian electro icons with a nostalgic, melodic sound will perform an intimate yet danceable set especially for Synergy – a perfect fit for the expansive, green backdrop of Flevopark.

Brass Rave Unit
An unpolished fusion of techno, acid house, and trance – performed live with brass instruments. The Utrecht trio offers a unique sonic experience that feels like a ritual at the intersection of rave and concert.

Why more and more travelers are drawn to this icy corner of the world
Spitsbergen is one of those destinations you don't just stumble upon. Icy, remote, and impressively silent. That is precisely why it is gaining popularity among travelers seeking something off the beaten path. ExperienceTravel capitalizes on this with a series of small-scale expedition cruises.
