The mercury seems to exceed 20 degrees in the coming days. High time to pull out the barge and hit the water. But mooring at your favorite spot once in a while is also part of a day on the water. MASTERS tips a few spots where you can stretch your (sea) legs.

Porto on the Loosdrecht lakes

Moor with your boat in the harbor adjacent to Porto. Overlooking the Loosdrecht lakes, you can enjoy lunch or dinner here. Because of the lovely lounge with fireplace you can stay here until the late hours.

Tante Kee in Kaag

This Bib Gourmand restaurant is well worth mooring after a day of boating on the Kagerplassen. From the outdoor terrace you have a beautiful view over the water, where several boats moor and dock throughout the day. The Grachthof in Giethoorn

Giethoorn is also known as the Venice of the Netherlands. Sailing your boat through the narrow canals of the fairytale village can sometimes cause a traffic jam on the water, but you can interrupt it by stepping ashore at De Grachthof. From soup to beef carpaccio and North Sea sole to beet falafel wrap. There's definitely a dish in here that will appeal to you.
