De Fondue from Café Bern is legendary. The Swiss restaurant on the Nieuwmarkt is a household name in the capital when it comes to fondues. The traditional preparation of this fondue has made the café a popular place for enthusiasts.

Melt | Amsterdam

You will find Smelt in the cozy Negen Straatjes. They had been neighbors across the street for more than a quarter of a century: a brown literary café and a cheese specialty store filled from floor to ceiling with cheese. Café De Doffer and De Kaaskamer van Amsterdam in the Runstraat, De 9 Straatjes. Both are household names in the center of Amsterdam. Since January 2022, both businesses have merged into Restaurant Smelt.
